Morels The Hunt 2 Playstation 5 November Patch

UPDATES

  • Added an option for Y invert on the gamepad.
  • Added in the option to see how many more animals you need to photograph to get to the next level in the game menu.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed Manual Save not working.
  • Fixed the issue with buttons not working after sleeping in a shelter.
  • Fixed game cursor not showing up when finding a golden morel to select a treasure chest.

Morels: The Hunt 2 is Officially Released on Steam!

We are extremely excited to announce that Morels: The Hunt 2 is officially live and released on steam!

Thank you to everyone who has helped with play testing and for anyone who has decided to purchase and support the game.

The official soundtrack to the game has been released.

 

Morels: The Hunt 1 Update

The update for Morels 1 is also live.
-Footprints where you have been on the map.
-Daily morel counts and daily record.
-Option to turn off spiders and make them bunny balls.
-Sunglasses as a new item. This will lighten dark shaded areas darken the brightness of the sun.
-Music by default will play a playlist starting with that maps song instead of looping the same song.
-Added upper right Main UI to the Horse and ATV UI.
-Fixed Redwood Forest morels location bug.

Morels: The Hunt 2 – Development Update!

We wanted to share some development updates for Morels 2.

These are the 7 new maps.
 



These are the new items available for purchase in the shop.



Hummingbird feeder

– Attracts hummingbirds. This item can be placed anywhere in any map. It will stay there forever unless you pick it up and bring it back to your inventory. There is no quantity limit on this item.

Deer Stand

– Animals will not fear or run away from you while on this stand. This item can be placed anywhere in any map. You can not bring it back into your inventory once you place it down. It will remain forever wherever you place it down at. There is no quantity limit on this item.

Compass

– Adds a compass to your UI.

Headlamp Light Upgrade

– Will make your headlamp much brighter and shine further.

Sunglasses

– Will lighten dark shaded areas and darken the brightness of the sun.

Scuba Tank

– Will allow you to stay underwater for an unlimited amount of time. It will be needed to hunt in the Ocean Islands map.

Animal Minimap Detection

– Shows you an animal location on your minimap.

Mushroom Minimap Detection

– Shows you a location mushrooms have been found on your minimap.

Photo Tasks



– 18 mushrooms besides morels to collect
– 60 Animals to photograph
– 15 Sea Animals to photograph
– 17 Insects to photograph
– 28 Objects to photograph
– 7 New mystery animals

Morels Homestead Creator Mode Update!

A big thank you to everyone who has played the game. We just released our Creator Mode update for Morels: Homestead on the Quest 2.
 
CREATOR MODE: In this mode you will start out your game with $1,000,000. This will allow you to completely focus on building your homestead right away. This mode is for anyone who would like to just focus on building their homestead without having to do things in the game to earn money like forage, harvest crops, metal detect, and take on quests.
 
ACTIVATING CREATOR MODE: You can active Creator Mode by starting a new game and then right after the beginning homestead previews it will ask you if you would like to start your game in Normal Mode or Creator Mode.
TIME CHANGE ITEM: We have a new item that can be purchased at the Misc Vendor under the Misc category. This new Time Change item will allow you to change from Day/Night in an instant. This will be helpful for anyone doing quests or looking for items or creatures that can only be found or completed at certain times of the day.
 
TUTORIAL SKIP BUTTON: We have added a Skip button to the beginning tutorial panels. If you have already played the game and done the tutorials and are just wanting to start a new game, you can now skip through the tutorials if you like.
 
OTHER SMALL FIXES: There are a handful of other small fixes as well like the Grizzly Bear Quest and the Walking Skeleton Quest.

Morels Summer Update

THE UPDATES

 

  • We have completely reworked the way you detect animals with the photo/camera system. The new detection system should be more accurate and finally fix the wrong animal/dead animal bug.
  • Fixed mouse and gamepad movements to be smoother. This will be especially noticeable on lower end machines.
  • Optimized Texas Ranch.
  • Optimized other maps in various minor ways.
  • Fixed area in Georgia where you could previously get into an unplayble area.
  • Fixed area in Texas that where could get into an unplayble area.
  • Increased chances for chanterelle mushrooms in a couple maps. Players were having a really hard time getting the weekly task for it.
  • We added more tarantulas and scorpions in Texas. We also added a possibility to see them in the Rocky Mountains and Redwood Forest maps.
  • Fixed invert Y when on the ATV.
  • Fixed a few other minor bugs.

Big Morels: The Hunt Update Coming Soon!

We will be releasing our newest update soon! Here are some of the updates and fixes that will be coming.

NEW ANIMALS:

We have added several new animals like barn owls, sparrows, snapping turtles, and longhorn cattle. We have also added a new mystery animal for the Redwoods map.

YOUR SEASON AFTER 100 DAYS:

When you finish your season it will bring you back to the main cabin screen. It will then reward you with a bag that allows you to start collecting poisonous mushrooms.

You will also now be able to view stats for any completed season and your career stats. Your game will have unlimited seasons and each season will keep adding to your career totals.

Anything you purchased, points, and your hunter’s manual all get carried over to the next season as well.

MUSHROOM MARKERS:

You can now pickup your markers and they will go back into your inventory.

DIFFICULTY SETTING:

We’ve added a difficulty setting. On Easy there will not be any ticks or poison ivy.

EXPLORATION MODE:

We’ve enabled Exploration Mode from the start of the game. You no longer have to finish a season to try it out. So if you were wanting to try it out but haven’t finished a full season yet you will now be able to. In this mode there are no seasons. You will get 25,000 points to start with, unlock all maps from the very beginning, and allow you to have some fun playing as animals. This mode is for fun and anything you do will not count towards records, unlocking or achievements.

OTHER UPDATES AND FIXES:

– We added a message in the shop that shows if you have already purchased an item.

– There is a message that pops up when you click on Delete Game that asks you to confirm that you want to delete your game instead of just deleting it.

– Fixed the Hunter Level Achievement Bug if you were picking up with the New Look at Method.

– We are still working on a fix for the dead animal or wrong animal detected bug. Since we still have not been able to reproduce this bug on our end we won’t know for sure if we have fixed it or not. We did some things that should help. If this happens to anyone else and you you are able to reproduce it please let us know how you were able to do it.
